Biography
Jonathan Pocock's work, broadly speaking is traditional, all his paintings are observed from life and executed in oils. His interpretation of the various subjects which he depicts, often results in quite a different style of painting. In his most recent landscapes, brushes have given way to a pallet knife and detail has been moved aside for a more direct response. The application of paint in these works shows a real involvement with the material, resulting in paintings that are both rich and exciting.  His work is also held in the House of Lords collection, Westminster and other private collections.
