Her Path: Six multi-disciplinary artists' journey to creative success

HER PATH: is a group exhibition of six female artists. Simone Brewster - Kate Dolan - Dawn Beckles - Nadia Attura - Anna Sudbina - Angelique Stephenson, curated by Rachel Oteng-Lartey.

The exhibition serves as a reflection on each individual Artist's journey to their current practice. Journey can refer to an actual physical journey - travelling from one place to another, migration to a new climate or setting. However; journeys don't always have to involve physical travel. The term 'journey' is often used to describe the path we take in life: such as personal experiences that involve an element of self-discovery or the career choices made to catalyse their current practice.

All HER PATH artists have worked in other disciplines, architect, sculptor, jewellery designer, textile buyer, interior designer, journalist, advertising executive, and caregiver. All have spent some of their formative years working or travelling outside of the UK and most are now in a renaissance of their professional lives, either after a pause due to motherhood or migration to new climes. These past stories and identities are bought into the present and into the very fabric of the collections we present in HER PATH. This collective of artists are by their very nature, story tellers with diverse and inspirational routes to success. This unique never seen before group show is a celebration of the multifaceted talent of our most promising artists at Wills Art Warehouse.
